France is trying to convince the main search engines to avoid showing unlicensed online games sites, which remind us of the conflict between the Chinese government and Google that took place only a few days ago, and after which Google threaded with leaving the country. This measure´s aim is to prevent French players from finding unlicensed casinos to play online. The French gaming bill only recognize as legal those casinos that have obtained a French license. In order to obtain such license foreigner casinos must be operating from French soil, putting all the national games industries in a clear advantage. This game bill goes against the European Commission recommendations regarding the online games regulatiosn, and France could be fined if they don´t undertake the requested amends. Apart from the European Comission, the Remore Gaming Association has also showed her disapproval to the present French regulations, and French players are also unhappy with the bill.
